Silco Fire & Security is Hiring a Fire Extinguisher Technician Near Dayton, OH
- Conduct routine inspections of fire extinguisher systems at customer sites to assess their condition and functionality.
- Perform maintenance tasks, including refilling, recharging, and replacing components of fire extinguishers as needed.
- Identify any issues or deficiencies in fire extinguisher systems and promptly address them to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Document all inspection and service activities accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records of each client’s fire extinguisher.
- Collaborate with customers to provide recommendations and solutions for enhancing fire protection measures based on their specific requirements.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to fire extinguisher maintenance and safety.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to coordinate service schedules, resolve inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.
- High School diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in fire protection systems is preferred.
- Proven experience in inspecting servicing or maintaining fire extinguisher systems is advantageous.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards, such as NFPA and OSHA is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
- Detail oriented mindset with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
